Lauren Lamas, LCSW
I graduated with my Bachelor of Art from Susquehanna University (SU) in 2010. At SU, I studied journalism and took many classes in Spanish and international studies. I spent a semester abroad in Costa Rica in 2009.
I graduated from Florida State University (FSU) in 2016 with my Master's in Social Work (MSW). During my time at FSU I focused on the areas of group psychotherapy and the intersections of trauma, mental health and substance use in the criminal justice system as well as reintegration initiatives.
Since graduating with my MSW, I have gained experience in several areas of practice including crisis intervention, community corrections, hospital social work and integrated behavioral health in primary care. These settings have increased my skills in assessment and diagnosis, treatment planning, group and individual therapy and provided me with a broad knowledge of community resources.
I am Mexican American and identify as a trauma survivor and creative. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside, taking care of my plants, reading, writing and spending time with my partner.
